Why are racist statements acceptable (and even considered funny) when they're used by the left?
And they have the gall to call us on the right racist. Sheesh.
I got an email after posting this telling me that I was "off-base" and "taking a cheap shot". I wonder if the author of that email laughed at Wonkette's racism?

Racist statements are accepted by the leftards because they lack the intelligence to argue cogently for their positions. They resort to ad hominem attacks because they simply have no other choice.
Ah delicious winger hypocrisy. We're racist, now they're racist, so we were right to be racist, and they are bad. Uh huh.
Look, here's a cogent argument for you. Malkin has been on her Mohammad Cartoon Jihad kick for a while now. So apparently it's vitally important for democracy that cartoons (which are so offensive to a group of people that it causes violent protest) be shoved down all our throats (After all, they're just cartoons for our Lord Jesus Christ's sakes!)
But when somebody makes offensive jokes towards her, it's like, totally different. No doubt because she made some complex moral reasoning weighing racist speech versus anti-religious imagery that she didn't let us in on, and not because she has a wildly inconsistent worldview that all Republicans don't not have.
Well y'know what, if Wonkette can't make racist sexist jokes about Michelle Malkin, the terrorists win.
I do love this argument that conservatives have become fond of lately- "Sure, in general we are pretty intolerant towards all non-whites, non-Christians, intellectuals, immigrants, dirty poor people, dirty French people, etc... But look at how intolerant all of them are towards us!" They then take the most outrageous liberal statement they can find, even if they have to scavenge for forum trolls and go through their anonymous hate mail, and then hold it up as the mainstream liberal view while ignoring anything approaching reasoned critique.
Hear that sound? That's the sound of democracy dying slowly and painfully. Thank you conservative punditry!

Sure they're different. Comparing someone threatening to cut off heads to Michelle's reaction to being called an Asian whore is apples to oranges. And it wasn't just an "offensive joke" - it was unquestionably a racial and sexual slander.
The front page at Wonkette is hardly anonymous, and much more prominent than comment #265 to an unpromoted diary at Daily Kos. And the writers at Wonkette had no critique or reasoned argument to offer. The entire post was simply a frame to project hateful speech toward a minority. As you refer to it as a joke, am I to assume that it elicited howls of laughter from you? If so, do you laugh at polish, mexican and black jokes as well?
Again, ChiefK - er, Blooper, please provide an example - one good enough to be able to stretch to me and all other conservatives.
And by the way - my post wasn't to defend Michelle - she's more than capable of fighting her own battles. My post was to point out how this type of racist and sexist attack is tolerated by those on the left when it's directed at conservatives. And I appreciate you helping to prove my point.
