More ugly truths
This morning I wrote on the topic of racism being used by the media to explain why anyone would want to vote for someone other than Obama. Charles at Little Green Footballs has another example:
Meanwhile, some white Americans are turning themselves inside out to come up with excuses for why they’re not supporting Obama. It seems like just yesterday that these folks were arguing there is no racism in the immigration debate, and now they’re insisting there is no racism in the presidential election.
The quote above is from CNN, another media outlet known recently for fawning coverage of the Messiah. Ironic is that the author suggests that blacks are supporting Obama because of his race, a notion that gets charges of racism when put forth by non-supporters. Follow the link above to LGF for more.
Update: In a similar vein, also check out this excellent post from Paul at Power Line: Loathing of fear on the campaign trail, Part One.

If I'm a white American.....I have to vote for Obama or I'm a racist?
So when I won't vote for him based on the fact that he doesn't have any experience...makes me a racist?
The fact that I won't vote for him because I don't agree with his stated policy....makes me a racist?
The only time that I would be a racist, would be "IF" I cast a vote based for or against someone because of their color or gender.
I guess that also means that Martin Luther King was entirely wrong in his beliefs. It is sad to see all the work that he did....go down the toilet. How silly of him to think that we should not be judged on the color of our skin but by our actions.
Any vote that is cast “for” or “against” someone based on skin color or gender is not only a racist but stupid as well.
When you reduce the value of your vote to skin color or gender the only thing that shows a great deal of stupidity but also a one track idea going nowhere.
CNN once again demonstrates a certain arrogance of a “we know better than you” attitude that covers every voter. I’m never surprised at the labels that they are willing to throw out at people but they are never willing to look at themselves
